They say “Find three hobbies you love: one to make your living, one to keep you in shape and one to be creative.”
And, I’d say how about finding not three but one true hobby that will present to you all?
Luckily, I had the good fortune and privilege to be able to turn my hobby in to a most fulfilling profession that gracefully served me in my whole life for all these things above and beyond...
Under the very notion of luxury travel and hospitality, simply making world travelers’ dream vacations come true in every sense of the word has become the fundamental purpose of my entire professional career. My “Raison d’etre”, as to say.
In the hindsight, I could wholeheartedly say that “The Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts” has by far become the most influential and pivotal foundation for me and has given me the utmost opportunity for living, breathing this loving hobby of mine, inside out. Four Seasons was practically a sanctuary for me, to say the least. I will always cherish this extraordinary institution dearly.
For over 20 years, it was such a joyful ride and privilege to become part of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and serve as the Director of Sales overseeing three major markets; North America, South America and Australia. I have travelled and yes, learned so much.
Maintaining all the sales leads in accordance with procedures and standards, adding value in meeting the hotel's needs by identifying and implementing sales strategies, supporting the hotels' strategic direction by maximizing opportunities for all groups and FIT business through careful research and targeted action plan in accordance with the marketing plan was all part of what I’ve achieved throughout the years…
Moreover, developing professional relationships and indestructible bond with travel agencies, wholesale and tour operators was quite fun and meaningful beyond supporting the hotels' goals and to best achieve a long term business success.
This whole experience has allowed me to truly understand what it means to timely and smoothly manage the whole process and act as the key person to fine-tune the communication among all parties.
In a world getting smaller and smaller; the time becoming the most vital and precious element in our lives, we continue to live increasingly under emotional and physical stress and our expectations are changing when it comes to defining luxury travel and hospitality. I would argue that redefining luxury travel is necessary and inevitable.
With that idea and intention in my heart and mind, comes a new turning point, a new beginning for me. After all these years of global experience, hard work and I am on a new mission. Under my wings, I am ready to serve like-minded extraordinary destinations, hotels, and resorts all around the world that redefine new luxury. I will be building bridges to connect wonderful hotel brands with travel agents and world-travelers with the best of my ability through my new venture, Anet Altinman Consulting.
Now, I am on a roll in full swing. Join me to help bring new excitement, fun, unique memories and most importantly a truly transformative experience for the conscious travelers throughout this journey. It’s gonna be real fun and together, I believe we’ll go places…
